They told me you can’t go to New York without having been to Times Square. Our home office is located there, my favorite tv station is there, and all those giant billboards in neon lights!
My aunt and my godson came to meet me and my friend there. We went to dinner at Olive Garden for three times more I would have paid to eat in one of their restaurants in Chicago and without a wait. But they told me, it is because we were in Times Square. Like it is the mother of all excuses. We waited for over an hour to get seated and thank goodness there was no wait in the bathroom unlike the coffee shop we went to earlier.
And yes, they were right. Times Square doesn’t sleep. It was so alive and vibrant. The theatre district is there and almost everyone you hear speaks a different language. A melting pot!

This is NYC for me … Time Square with all its lights – fantastic shots. So true that if you haven’t been at Time Square – it’s the heart of the Manhattan.
Everyone must have a photo of having been there. And you’re right it is the heart of NYC. The best place to people watch.
A very very busy city with lights.
That I agree! Thanks for dropping by.
I hope there will be no more black outs in 2013 – good bye Sandy …
As of the time I was there they said there’s still a portion of New York without any electrical power.
