There is this wall art that I see everyday on my way from/to the Union Station. It is at the 200 South Wacker Building main floor. On a bitter cold night like today, seeing this mural lightens my mood. It reminds me of Spring and that it is not too far away.
Sue’s Photo Challenge for the week is round. I can’t help myself, the yellows and reds are so attractive, so I dropped by this morning and took pictures with my iPhone. Looking up close I didn’t realize that they were made of blown glass. I wanted to ask the guard if it is by Chihuly as they have a close semblance to the ceiling made by him at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
Unfortunately above is not a good shot of that work of art of his.
And wouldn’t you think the artist(s) inspirations came from nature?
Thanks Sue for the inspiration. I have more round objects in my albums but this is enough for now.
Please check more pictures in Sue’s site, here.

That’s how I feel too when I see them. The colors are just so happy.
Thank you for liking it Colline!
Thank you for the appreciation and for the link.
Thank you for the inspiration Sue.
Wi, I could never get tired of Bellagios. That is truly a great place.
I’m a huge fan of Chihuly’s work. We have some of his work here in Vancouver. His work is brilliant.
I nominated your blog for The Versatile Blogger Award.

The glass sculptures reminds me of a magical place I used to imagine as a kid. Anything amazing can happen in Vegas!
Jakarta is flooding, all over town, since yesterday. The weather man says that the rain will continue until the day after tomorrow. The whole day is dark and gloomy and wet. I feel so bad. Thanks, for the pictures, they make me smile.
Oh I could imagine that, isn’t his studio in Washington state? Thank you for dropping by.
Glass sculptures are so cool because they can be very colorful and the process is very challenging and interesting. From a small amount of sand and dyes and strong heat . . .
Thank you for dropping by and am happy that my picture made you smile. I hope the weatherman is wrong, nature is unpredictable. I hope the rains end sooner.
Thanks for sharing this pics. I’ve seen that Bellagio ceiling and love it! Can’t imagine how all of that installation stuff works, but it does! http://ohtheplaceswesee.com
Me too, but they all work together and in great harmony.
Thank you Alan. Am honored although I am not really that versatile.

Amazing stuff! The decor and art yes, but even more so the stories that come through. Fascinating!
