Travel Theme: Flow

Ailsa’s photo challenge for the week is Flow, here.

I have a love/hate relationship with bodies of water. The hate come from my fear of drowning. I could float but that probably won’t save my life if I have to. But other than that, I love seeing and being close to the water.

One reason why I love the National Parks in the Rockies is the presence of numerous streams, creeks, rivers and lakes. It does not matter that they are way up there, so many thousands of feet above sea level, their presence is very reassuring and comforting.

I see water there and I want to drink them – they look so fresh and clean. If it is summer I would say refreshing but even with the weather bordering on cold, they are still a sight to behold especially when they are rushing and flowing. They are moving and alive!

Fountains, I had a small one when I had a garden. The sound they make is music to my earns and I never fail to take a picture of them. Thank you Viveka.

I agree Viveka. I am even afraid of wilderness without water.
