Dailypost Word Press Photo Challenge: Carefree

Last Saturday after we had lunch at the friend’s restaurant we drove to the Chicago Botanic Garden to catch the Kite Festival. Like a kite in flight, it was over so soon we only caught the tail end of it.

After the last exhibition show, the spectators were given an hour to enjoy their newly bought kites in the field. Everyone had fun, the adults had a chance to reminisce their carefree youth as they shared their wisdom and showed the young ones how to get their kites to fly.

Here’s my entry to the photo challenge Carefree.

    Free of care indeed!
We love kites and we have some wild ones at home which we need to fly when you get there with some hot air from Chicago, lol!

It was a fun day at the Botanical Garden, the kites are so colorful…wish there could have a stronger wind…..

You’re right but it was still a beautiful day for kites.

  6. Kite festival is fun. When we run, play and laugh like a kid, happiness and being care free follows. I wish we have more of these carefree moments everyday. Have a wonderful week.

Bebs, excellent entry …. children … carefree .. play and enjoyment, laughter .. excitement.
All children should have a carefree life … but the world and life isn’t that fair to them all.

I know what you mean. And even the rich ones don’t get to enjoy that. Everyone is glued on electronics. Kites are easy and cheap to make, children in poor countries should each have one.

Same with the Swedish kids, nobody is out kicking football .. all our “new swedes” kid are out playing the whole days … until 9.30. Always loads of action on our backyard and I love it.

The physical exercise is a good training for the body and the mind. The affluent kids do not know what they are missing and then when they become adults they hire somebody to tell them how to exercise their bodies. What a shame.
