Kath & George

Not George & Kat simply because Kathleen is the one related to me and for a cousin, she feels close to me. I was the one tasked by her parents to take her out for her first drink when she reached 21, marking her rite of passage to adulthood.

This time she will have a full life ahead with George after they have become man and wife yesterday. They are both of different Asian descent so both families added a touch of their culture in the ceremony and reception.

At the church the secondary sponsors were in their barong and Filipiniana attire while the other side wore their oh so colorful, simply luxurious and exotic saris. I want one myself, who wouldn’t want to be wrapped around yards and yards of beautifully crafted and designed silk?

The first time George was introduced to me five years ago, I’ve always said that Kath found herself a good match. They have similar features even though she is petit, George is just the right height for her. And with Kath’s dark, expressive eyes, she herself could be mistaken for an Indian.

But most importantly, Kath is one person who’s very grounded, simply a lady in all respects. And George? I’ve never seen him so funny and crazy in a good way. We all said, there will never be a dull moment in their household for George has an abundant if not overflowing sense of humor. They are so in-love and they expressed their affection to each other in so many ways. All great foundation to a successful marriage. Just perfect and made for each other!

Here are pictures taken at yesterday’s festivities.
