For this week’s photo challenge from Daily WordPress, I would like to show off Chicago.
When friends visit, there is so much to see and do in the city and its vicinity that one day is not enough. Am glad that in Cat’ list is a tasting of Chicago pizza. So we brought her to Due, one of those iconic places known for their great pizza. I love their buttery crust and their four cheese pesto with slices of fresh tomatoes. My friend wanted a classic Uno (sister pizzeria) recipe – green peppers and sausage so we split a pie with the two recipes. Between the three of us the medium deep dish was just enough with some left overs.
Totally artery clogging and heart attack inducing, saturated in fat but one has to enjoy living dangerously once in a while.
After visits to The Hancock Center, the Museum Campus and a long walk of the Magnificent Mile and some photo ops at the Millennium Park, we capped the night at the Buckingham Fountain.
The Buckingham Fountain, one of the biggest fountains in the world, is a Chicago landmark and represents Lake Michigan. It operates from April to October with regular water shows and evening color light.
