Sara Roso of Daily WordPress challenges us this week to come up with photos that means Layers.

An onion has so many layers to protect itself. Its skin is made up of thin films of skin which is the first layer and then multiple layers of comes up to its core. That is why the phrase “dress up like an onion” is an often used term when you travel because if you are not sure of the weather where you are headed to, the solution is to dress up in layers so you can add more if it is cold and discard layers if it gets warm.

This was one of my favorite blooms in my former garden. I love that it blooms profusely but the layers of petals looks so perfect with each other they look like colorful tiny cabbages.
