Dinner tonight was lomi. A Filipino-Chinese soup with chicken, pork and shrimps. For starch we use Chinese fresh egg noodles.
It also has vegetables – Chinese okra or what you call loofah – it is the young fruit of the vine which is edible. A small amount of carrots to add color and cabbage and green onions. Before serving we beat some eggs and pour it to the hot soup.
Perfect for a cold night in January.
