Jun’s birthday

We had another break from home cooking last week. It was Jun’s birthday and Simply Beautiful hosted a dinner in celebration.

Chef Ping’s is their favorite Chinese restaurant in the suburbs and it is no big surprise. Their food are executed well and each has their own distinct flavor. They are not a run of the mill Chinese place. I love their creamy shrimps and shrimp fried rice. The shrimps are succulent and big. Not to mention that their noodles are made in-house. But there was so much food, it was a feast!

Most of all, it was about the company. Also there were other friends and Father Rey came with another priest friend of his from his religious order (Claretian). The group was small and intimate, gave us a chance to catch up with our lives after a long Winter hibernation.

Here’s a toast to Jun, that he may enjoy many more healthy and joyful years. More golf balls to hit waiting for you!

It was a fun gig, always nice to get together with friends we don’t see that often. It was a yummy treat, everything is delish. More than the food, it is more of the camaraderie shared.

It was a very fun group of diverse ages. Nothing like with the young. Am glad we are in the first group because the next batch was all the retirees. LOL
