Gerbera daisy

Gerbera daisy

There’s not a daisy that I don’t like. There is something in their composition that makes you think of the sun, no wonder they belong from the genus of the sunflower family.

The Gerbera daisy was named in honor of a German botanist and naturalist Traugott Gerber who died in 1743. Gerbara is also known as African daisy.

Traugott is an amusing German name. It means, translated: “trust God” (but if there isn’t any, only some bigott administrations, abusing their believers?)
