Samson meets his Goliath

DSC_0182

Such a powerful name for a diminutive chihuahua. I think he’s what they call a teacup or pocket puppy. He’s so small that he’s the size of my cats many times over. His legs are long and spindly – frog legs has more muscles. He is bow-legged but he’s so hyperactive he seems to be in constant motion. He moves in a circle to reach point A to B it’s dizzying to watch him.

The rest of his features belie the size of his body. He’s got huge bulging eyes, his ears pointed are out of proportion with his face. He cries like a child in pain and loud. When he gets excited he could bark on top of his lungs which tries to be heard you couldn’t hide him.

Am not fond of tiny dogs but Samson can worm his way into your heart in his own way. He’s just too delicate for me to handle.

I know Sue. I guess that’s typical of the breed but it seems out of proportion to his size.

I wonder if their eye sight is better because of it?

I know. He’s constantly on the move for something so small he doesn’t seem to run out energy.
