Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Contrasting colors

DSC_0886

This is my entry to Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge, here. My niece neighbor’s house.

My niece and her husband lives in a subdivision. Normally subdivisions are made of a number of different models to suit one’s taste. However, in their neighborhood all the houses are the same so the owners have to find ways to make their homes standout from the rest. Some have wonderful gardens for curb appeal, plants trees and beautiful myrtles, or they pick their shutters in shades they prefer – like my niece has purple because it is her favorite, some in black, green and even aqua. It is lively. They just have sunnier dispositions in Virginia, unlike us Midwesterners.

But this one I like – the pink stands in stark contrast to the rest of the structure. Complimented by the hanging baskets of pink florals. The bright pink color just rescued the house from being a ho-hum.

Don’t you think it’s lovely?

It is. I thought one has to be in the Bahamas or in the tropics or maybe FL to pick a bright pink, but that is beautiful.
