Yellow Victorians

There are many Victorian homes in the next towns to where I live now but they carry so many colors, they are the painted ladies. Old fashion.

However in Pacific Grove, most of them have one very dominant color, which gives a contemporary touch to these old homes. Most of the large Victorians are now bed and breakfast accommodations and mostly painted the color of sunshine. I certainly would want to stay in one of them next time when money is not an issue.

Yellow is one of my favorite colors after red and blue. In fact in my old house I managed to paint one wall a banana yellow. Could you tell I love the fruit? lol

Wonderful captures of these pretty homes. Takes me back to our recent trip to San Francisco and the ‘Painted Ladies’. 🙂

Oh you should see the Victorian homes around Chicago, other than 7 Gables, the ones here are much bigger. The residential ones are much smaller but just as beautiful. Another blog.

I read Pacific Grove is the capital of Victorian homes, they have more per square meter than any town in the US. And they are really old but refurbished.

They are really wonderful esp. with the lights and Christmas trees by their bay windows.

Aren’t they all gorgeous? But even the small ones are so beautiful – they look like doll houses.
