A Word-A-Week: Broken

My entry to Sue Lewellyn’s challenge for the week: Broken.

In the middle of the vineyards, surrounded by rows and rows of grapevines, was this house. It stood there alone and broken.

Am sure it was beautiful in its glory and must have been a setting of many parties but one wonders why it was left abandoned.

Maybe they relocated. I suspect it was one of the vineyards’ tasting shop or whatever. Maybe there was a fire and they decided to build a new one around the area. That area is in Salinas and there are many there.
