I picked this photo of a fountain taken at Sonya's Secret Garden near Tagaytay in the Philippines. I love those floating lilies.
In my next life, I mean when I go back to the Philippines, I would love to have a bamboo fountain. I used to have one, albeit a tiny one, that I have to put anti-algae chemicals everyday. I wonder if those lilies would do the work of the anti-algae because they could get expensive.
Beautiful floating lilies. I love the bamboo fountain, it’s a lot of work to maintain for sure…

I love the bamboo fountain for its simplicity. Actually the small ones are not so bad, I like the sound of the water – actually you just add the chemicals to the water as otherwise the algae could grow very fast and it is not pretty to look at.

That’s good to know. I love the simplicity. I have seen the bamboo fountain in the Japanese garden. The sound of water can bring wonderful calmness.

Tagaytay is a place where the old and the new merges… One of the good places to take photos. But lately, the beauty of nature is being swallowed by the continuous erection of condos and hotels (mostly owned by the Sy of SM). 😦

I have to agree with you. Pretty soon Tagaytay will feel like Baguio – densely populated and with horrible traffic.

Amy, it is Asian and fit the tropics and actually it is not that expensive. You can easily make it yourself and to buy a motor is cheap.
